Tux Paint is a free painting software for computers and laptops that is especially made for children. The entire suite of buttons is on the home screen to use. Each of the buttons includes an illustration and a label. Sound effects and guidance from the penguin mascot make the application even more child friendly.
Microsoft Paint is a popular painting app for kids that has smaller icons than Tux Paint does. While Tux includes prompts, MS Paint does not give children assistance. GIMP is comparable to MS Paint since both applications use more complicated settings than Tux.
