The next Marvel series will focus on the White Vision’s journey of self-discovery, a character that has captured the attention of fans since his appearance at the end of WandaVision. Played by Paul Bettany, this Vision has been reset to his factory settings and is unfamiliar with the world around him. After his strange birth, he embarks on an adventure to find answers to his identity and purpose.
If you don’t know E.D.I.T.H. it’s because you weren’t paying attention in Far From Home
Although the series does not yet have an official title, the participation of intriguing characters has been confirmed. James Spader will return to voice Ultron, a villain who had his first and only encounter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe more than ten years ago. Additionally, T’Nia Miller will join the cast as Jocasta, an advanced artificial intelligence from the comic book universe created by Ultron.
The series will also mark the return of E.D.I.T.H., an artificial intelligence assistant designed by Tony Stark to help Peter Parker. It is reported that actress Emily Hampshire will play a human version of E.D.I.T.H., who previously had a more limited role in the Spider-Man story, controlling security and defense systems. However, this new interpretation could show E.D.I.T.H. in a more evolved way and with a different focus in her interaction with the characters.
The return of E.D.I.T.H. raises questions about how its personality and functions may have evolved since its last appearance in Spider-Man: Far From Home in 2019. Additionally, the Vision series is shaping up to be an opportunity to delve into the digital world created by Tony Stark, exploring the relationship between Vision and other artificial intelligences within the Marvel narrative. It is speculated that this will provide a new approach to the evolution of AI programs in the Marvel universe.
