How to transfer your data from Nintendo Switch to Switch 2

Transferring your profile, saved games, and digital purchases from your original Nintendo Switch to the new Switch 2 is a quick and seamless process—as long as you follow the right steps. Start system transfer on Switch 2

After beginning the setup on your new console, you’ll see the option to start a system transfer. Select this to begin. If you’re using a microSD card, ensure it’s a compatible microSD Express model, as older cards won’t be supported by Switch 2.
