The Illuminati have launched a new campaign in the galactic war of Helldivers 2, following a brief preparation period that included selective attacks on planets with an armed black hole. This offensive brings the Illuminati closer than ever to Super Earth, which has sparked renewed interest among players. This week, a patch has been released that lays the groundwork for this new chapter, with the expectation that an update named will arrive next week, the first since the release of Omen of Tyranny in December.
The Illuminati Make Their Way in the Galaxy
The recent update has introduced three new types of enemies, highlighting the Fleshmobs, agile creatures that attack in groups. These enemies, characterized by their speed and aggressiveness, present a new challenge for the helldivers, as they can appear in groups of two or three, inflicting considerable damage. Additionally, the Jets Stingray are added to the mix, offering the possibility of dynamic aerial confrontations. Unlike other aircraft, the Stingrays do not stay still and make quick passes, testing the playersโ speed and decision-making.
The urban biome of Helldivers 2 has been enhanced with new combat mechanics that include these aircraft and mortar squids, allowing for a more effective integration with the congested street environment. The developers, Arrowhead, have managed to give each faction its own identity and tactics, creating a combat environment where waves of enemies can easily overwhelm the Super Earth forces.
On the other hand, the update has included new customization options for primary weapons, allowing players to adjust their gear with new sights, grips, and accessories. However, some players believe that these improvements are minor compared to the investment of time required. In this context, it is rumored that the new offensive will culminate in a significant update.
